About Us

The Barn on The Bay is a unique coastal venue hosting weddings, feast events, and pop-up food experiences. We are building a team of freelance chefs and creative cooks to help us deliver high-quality, flavorful, and beautifully presented food for our guests.

Role Overview

We are looking for passionate and skilled chefs or cooks to work on a flexible, freelance basis. Whether you specialize in event catering, street food, or large-scale feasting, we welcome individuals who can bring creativity and flair to our growing kitchen team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food for weddings, feasts, and pop-up events

  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes

  • Assist in menu planning and food presentation to align with event themes

  • Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards

  • Adapt to different event styles, from formal wedding dining to casual street food

Requirements

  • Experience in professional kitchens, catering, or street food

  • Passion for cooking, styling, and presentation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment

  • Flexibility to work on an event-by-event basis

  • Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
