Hours: Part-time, 6 hours on Saturdays and Sundays - the role can be split between two people. Additional hours may be available time to time.
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About The Role

The Barn on The Bay is a stunning coastal wedding and events venue, known for its relaxed yet high-quality hospitality. We are looking for an experienced FOH Team Members to assist with the smooth operation of our bar and food service during weddings, food events, and public bar openings.

You will work as part of a team, ensuring excellent service standards, and help create memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front of House Presence: You will be based on the restaurant / cafe / bar ensuring smooth and efficient service. This will involve welcoming guests, circulating and making sure guests needs are being met, handling enquiries and working with the bar staff.

  • Food Service: Ensure professional and timely food service at weddings, cafe days and events. This involves delivering food and drinks to tables and clearing tables efficiently when guests leave.

  • Customer Experience: Provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, handling any guest queries professionally.

  • Event Coordination: Work closely with event managers to ensure seamless food and drink service.

  • Training & Support: Assist with mantoring and training of less experienced members of staff

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all licensing laws, hygiene, and safety regulations are met.

About You:

  • Previous experience within hospitality, bar service, or events (essential).

  • Confident working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong customer service skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proactive, reliable, and able to problem-solve on the spot.

  • Must be over 18 (due to alcohol service requirements).

  • Must have own transport (rural location with limited public transport).
